Measurement Technology NW’s WinchDAC local displays to simultaneously monitor line tension, payout, and speed for all winches via a central PC interface. WinchDAC’s graphical interface displays tension, speed, payout, and alarm status for up to 12 active winches on a single runtime screen. Data logging is automatic, with readings typically updated every 0.1 seconds per winch.

WinchDAC SCADA software allows full customization of the on-screen display, and a click of the mouse takes the operator to screens showing detailed status of each individual winch. All WinchDAC charts feature user-set scaling and an intuitive, real-time graphical display of any or all winch parameters. WinchDAC automatically tracks values experienced during a given time period, and its single point marker tool allows the operator to scroll through the chart and see the exact values experienced at any point in time. Data files are saved in a .csv format easily imported into Excel for post-analysis.
