Oil Rig, Drill Ship & Pipe Lay Barge Mooring Systems
Measurement Technology NW provides winch monitoring solutions for measuring line tension, payout and speed in single or multi-point rig mooring applications.
In a typical mooring installation, tensiometers (available from 20-800KIPS) are installed on the mooring lines originating from each single or double-drum winch. Tensiometers interface to one LCI-90 Standard display (the LCI-90 Dual-Winch display accommodates two tensiometers each) providing local line parameter viewing and, if desired, simultaneous data transmission to remote displays or a centrally located PC computer. Alternatively, LCI displays can interface to existing instrumented sheave sensors.

Each LCI-90 display can be either panel mounted into an existing control console or installed in a watertight enclosure for easy installation in close proximity to the winch controls. System setup and calibration features are available either via the local LCI display unit or through a remote PC station.
For PC users, our optional WinchDAC SCADA software adds data logging capabilities and remote winch parameter display at a central bridge location. With WinchDAC SCADA software, line status for all winches is shown on the main runtime screen, and additional details for active lines can be viewed by simply clicking on the screen image for each individual winch.
MTNW Rig Mooring Systems provide outstanding efficiency, unmatched accuracy, field proven performance, and years of reliable service life.
