Herman"Herman" Flame Test Manikin
The fire suit test manikin "Herman" was developed to test the safety of firefighter suits and other protective apparel. This manikin is able to withstand sustained temperatures of 150°C and short bursts of up to 200°C.

Herman is fully articulated at all major joints for easy dressing, and can be locked into an infinite number of testing positions including crouching, kneeling, and crawling.

The "Herman" system architecture is flexible and can be customized with many different types of instrumentation, including heat flux sensors, skin heating or cooling capabilities, and other hardware/software options.

Flame Test Hand
This robust instrument was developed for glove testing in flash fire or radiant heating environments. Rated for continuous use at 200°C with intermittent exposure to direct flame, the flame test hand is cast in high-temperature epoxy with pivot joints on each finger (up to 90° of flexure) and calorimeters at 3-5 locations, depending on user requirements. Optional sensors can be located in the fingertips.
